Dr. Rebecca Distefano received her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the Institute of Child Development at the University of Minnesota. Her research focuses on the social influences of executive function development in preschool-aged children, with an emphasis on how parents can support their children’s developing executive function skills. Much of her work is done collaboratively with local community partners serving disadvantaged families to inform the design and implementation of interventions to boost executive function skills and academic achievement in young children. At Reflection Sciences, Rebecca provides training support for new users, data interpretation services, and both in-person and online professional development to translate the science of executive function into practice.
